Restylane

Restylane is a cosmetic wrinkle filler FDA approved for treating facial wrinkles and folds. altMade from non-animal based hyaluronic acid, Restylane has no risk of allergic reaction.

Restylane: What can be treated?

Plastic surgeons mainly use Restylane to fill in the nasolabial folds, the lines that travel from each side of your nose to the corners of your mouth. In some cases, Restylane can be effective for other treatments like the following:

  • Lip enhancement
  • Non-surgical rhinoplasty
  • Restoring cheek volume

Restylane: How is treatment performed?

Treatments with Restylane are brief and surprisingly comfortable. Dr. Genter can use a topical anesthetic or nerve block to make your injections as easy as possible. Using a fine needle, Restylane is injected under the skin at a specific depth to restore volume where the skin contour has been depleted.

After Restylane Injection: What to expect

The areas of injection may feel fuller than normal after your injection, but this will resolve on its own after a short time. Some bruising is possible as well. In most cases, patients who undergo Restylane injection return to their normal activities immediately.

Hyaluronic acid wrinkle fillers like Restylane typically produce results lasting 4-6 months. To learn more about Restylane, contact Dr. Genter’s office at 215-572-7744
